Extract 2 page(s) from a 4-page PDF.

How it works

  • Read the document's page tree.
  • Resolve the requested page selection into 0-based page indices.
  • Copy exactly those pages into a new PDF in the requested order.
  • Nothing is uploaded; the rewrite runs in your browser.

Methodology

  1. Parse the page selection into ordered page numbers and validate each against the real page count.
  2. Copy exactly the selected pages into a fresh document, preserving the requested order.
  3. An out-of-range, reversed or empty selection is a named finding and no output is produced.

Usage

  1. Choose or drop a PDF.
  2. Enter the pages to keep, e.g. 2,3 or 1-3,5.
  3. Run the extract and download the new PDF.

Examples

These are examples, not current values: they use fixed inputs, while the interactive tool computes live results in your browser.

Extract pages 2 and 3 from a 4-page PDF

jsonSelect to copy
{
  "pageCount": 4,
  "selection": "2,3",
  "baseName": "report"
}

Extract pages 1-2 and 4 in order

jsonSelect to copy
{
  "pageCount": 4,
  "selection": "1-2,4",
  "baseName": "report"
}

Limitations

Exactly your pages

The extractor copies only the pages you name, in the order you name them, into a fresh valid PDF.

Page numbers are validated against the real page count, so a typo is a clear finding rather than a broken file.

Frequently asked questions

Can I reorder the extracted pages?
Yes. The order of the selection (for example 3,1,2) is preserved in the output.
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. Everything runs locally in your browser.
