Merge 2 document(s) into one PDF in order.

How it works

  • Read each selected PDF's page tree locally.
  • Create a fresh document and copy every page from each source in the chosen order.
  • Report the combined page count and offer the merged PDF for download.
  • Nothing is uploaded; the rewrite runs in your browser.

Methodology

  1. Read each selected document's page tree and validate that at least two valid PDFs are present.
  2. Create a fresh output document and copy every page from each source in the requested order.
  3. Refuse an unreadable or structurally unsupported input with a named limitation rather than producing a corrupt file.

Usage

  1. Select two or more PDFs.
  2. Reorder them if needed.
  3. Run the merge, review the combined page count, and download the result.

Examples

These are examples, not current values: they use fixed inputs, while the interactive tool computes live results in your browser.

Merge a 2-page and a 3-page PDF

jsonSelect to copy
{
  "pageCounts": "2,3",
  "baseName": "combined"
}

Merge a 2-page and a 3-page PDF in reverse document order

jsonSelect to copy
{
  "pageCounts": "2,3",
  "order": "1,0",
  "baseName": "combined"
}

Limitations

One valid document

Merging copies every page from each source into a new document with a correct page tree and cross-reference table, so the result opens as a single valid PDF.

An unreadable or encrypted input is reported by name and no partial output is produced.

Frequently asked questions

Are my PDFs uploaded?
