Transposed a 2×3 table into 3×2.
How it works
- Parsed the delimited text per RFC 4180.
- Built the transposed matrix, padding short rows with empty cells.
- Re-serialized with the same delimiter and quote character.
- Transposing twice returns the original cell matrix.
Methodology
- Parse per RFC 4180 with the configured delimiter and quote character.
- Build the transposed matrix: cell (r, c) moves to (c, r); short rows are padded with empty cells.
- Serialize the result with the same delimiter, quoting only when a cell needs it.
Usage
- Paste delimited text or choose a local file.
- Set the delimiter (or auto-detect) and whether the first row is a header.
- Run the transpose and copy or download the result.
Examples
These are examples, not current values: they use fixed inputs, while the interactive tool computes live results in your browser.

A true transpose
Every cell moves from (row, column) to (column, row). Transposing a transposed table returns the original matrix, which the property suite asserts.
Frequently asked questions
- Does the header move too?
- Yes. When the first row is a header it becomes the first column; turn the header option off to treat every row as data.
- Is my data uploaded?
- No. The transpose runs locally in your browser.
