Parsed table preview for a 53 characters across 3 line(s).

How it works

  • The delimited text is parsed with the shared bounded CSV parser and shown as a table.
  • Active content (scripts, event handlers, dangerous URLs, SVG/MathML and external resources) is removed; the result is rendered only inside an empty-token sandboxed preview.
  • Counts: 53 characters, 4 words, 3 lines.
  • Detected delimiter: comma (high confidence).

Methodology

  1. Detect the delimiter by scoring candidate delimiters for column-count consistency outside quotes.
  2. Parse the text with the shared bounded CSV parser (RFC 4180 quoting, escape handling and explicit caps).
  3. Render a bounded table preview (first 100 rows, first 40 columns) and surface the parser's named findings.

Usage

  1. Type or paste CSV/TSV/pipe-delimited text; the parsed table preview updates as you type.
  2. Review the detected delimiter and any parse findings above the table.
  3. Turn on “Keep in this browser” to autosave locally; use Clear/Reset to remove the stored document.

Examples

These are examples, not current values: they use fixed inputs, while the interactive tool computes live results in your browser.

Quoted field with an embedded comma

jsonSelect to copy
{
  "text": "name,role\nAda,\"engineer, mathematician\"\nAlan,engineer"
}

The embedded comma stays inside one cell.

Tab-delimited data

jsonSelect to copy
{
  "text": "id\tname\n1\tAda\n2\tAlan"
}

The delimiter is detected as a tab.

Limitations

Reuses the shared parser

The editor uses the same bounded CSV parser as the CSV viewer and converters, so the parse, delimiter detection and findings are identical across the family.

Local-only autosave

Autosave is off by default. When enabled, the document is stored only in this browser and Clear/Reset removes it.

Frequently asked questions

Is my data uploaded?
No. The delimited text is parsed and previewed in your browser only.
Does it open Excel files?
No. Paste or choose CSV/TSV/PSV text; binary spreadsheets are out of scope.
