Emitted a 2-row Markdown table with 2 column(s).

How it works

  • Parsed the delimited text per RFC 4180.
  • Padded every record to the widest row so the table stays rectangular.
  • Escaped pipes and replaced newlines, then added the header and alignment row.
  • A cell containing a newline is rendered with <br> so the table stays valid.

Methodology

  1. Parse per RFC 4180 with the configured delimiter.
  2. Pad every record to the widest row, escape `|` as `\|` and replace newlines with `<br>`.
  3. Emit a header row, an alignment separator (none/left/center/right) and one row per record; optionally emit an escaped HTML `<table>`.

Usage

  1. Paste delimited text or choose a local file.
  2. Set the delimiter and column alignment, and enable HTML output if you need a `<table>`.
  3. Copy or download the Markdown or HTML.

Examples

These are examples, not current values: they use fixed inputs, while the interactive tool computes live results in your browser.

CSV to a Markdown table

jsonSelect to copy
{
  "text": "name,role\nAda,pioneer\nAlan,engineer",
  "delimiterMode": "comma",
  "delimiter": ",",
  "firstRowHeader": true,
  "alignment": "left",
  "html": false
}

Limitations

Valid Markdown, always

Pipes inside cells are escaped and newlines are replaced, so the generated table renders correctly even when the source data contains either.
