Generated 6 Twitter/X card tag(s) with 0 finding(s).

How it works

  • Read the card type and page identity fields.
  • Validated the card type and, for image cards, that an absolute image URL was supplied.
  • Emitted the card tags with escaped attribute values.
  • The card type controls the layout; summary_large_image needs a large image.

Methodology

  1. Read the card type and page fields.
  2. Validate the card type against the documented set and the image requirement for image cards.
  3. Emit one <meta name=...> line per property, escaping attribute values.

Usage

  1. Choose a card type (summary or summary_large_image).
  2. Enter the title and description.
  3. Add an absolute image URL for image cards.
  4. Optionally add the site and creator handles.
  5. Generate and copy the meta tags.

Examples

These are examples, not current values: they use fixed inputs, while the interactive tool computes live results in your browser.

A large image card

jsonSelect to copy
{
  "card": "summary_large_image",
  "title": "How canonical URLs work",
  "description": "A practical guide to rel=canonical and duplicate URLs.",
  "image": "https://gampangin.example/img/canonical-cover.png",
  "site": "@gampangin",
  "creator": "@gampangin"
}

A summary card

jsonSelect to copy
{
  "card": "summary",
  "title": "Gampangin developer tools",
  "description": "Browser-local developer utilities."
}

Limitations

Choosing a card type

summary is a compact card with a small image; summary_large_image is a full-width image above the title and description.

Provide twitter:image as an absolute URL. Handles in twitter:site and twitter:creator begin with @.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between summary and summary_large_image?
summary shows a small square thumbnail; summary_large_image shows a wide image above the text. Both use twitter:card.
Do I still need Open Graph tags?
Yes. Twitter/X reads its own tags but falls back to Open Graph on many surfaces; emit both.
