Generated a sitemap with 2 URL(s) and 0 finding(s).

How it works

  • Split the input into non-empty URLs, dropping exact duplicates.
  • Validated each URL is absolute and within the length limit.
  • Emitted one <url> block per URL with the optional shared elements.
  • Escape XML entities in URLs; the generator does this for you.

Methodology

  1. Split the URL list, trim blank lines and remove exact duplicates.
  2. Validate each URL is absolute and within the protocol length limit.
  3. Emit a UTF-8 XML declaration and a <urlset> with one <url> per entry, escaping XML metacharacters.

Usage

  1. Paste one absolute URL per line.
  2. Optionally set a shared lastmod date and changefreq.
  3. Optionally set a priority between 0.0 and 1.0.
  4. Generate and copy or download the sitemap XML.

Examples

These are examples, not current values: they use fixed inputs, while the interactive tool computes live results in your browser.

Two URLs with a lastmod

jsonSelect to copy
{
  "urls": "https://gampangin.example/\nhttps://gampangin.example/tools/",
  "lastmod": "2026-10-01"
}

URLs with changefreq and priority

jsonSelect to copy
{
  "urls": "https://gampangin.example/tools/json-formatter/",
  "changefreq": "monthly",
  "priority": "0.8"
}

Limitations

Sitemaps and discovery

A sitemap lists the URLs you want crawled. It is a hint, not a directive; a URL is only indexed if it is crawlable and useful.

Keep the URL set canonical: list the preferred URL, not every variant.

Frequently asked questions

Does the sitemap need a lastmod?
No. lastmod is optional and, when present, should be the last significant modification date, not the build date.
Should I use priority?
Google says priority is ignored for ranking. It is still part of the protocol, so use it only if another consumer needs it.
